A Place to Rest Your Head
Soothe Your Soul
We Think Hunter S. Thompson Said it Best:
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!
We Invite You to Reserve Your Crescent City Vacation Experience Today:

A Free-Spirited Bungalow
Eclectic and cozy, a perfect spot for 4-5 people.
Better yet an easy 5-10 minute stroll to the beach and a ten minute drive to the Redwoods.
Full of original art and photography, and little touches - Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots, anyone - or Etch-A-Sketch?
A cocktail bar offers up a vinyl record player and the utensils for bring-your-own martinis. The perfect refuge after a day of hiking, biking, coastal wandering and more. Did we mention the deep jetted tub and outdoor firepit?
The Getaway Living Room: Hand-finished cedar vaulted ceilings, wood-burning stove, smart tv, cozy couch, reading nook and cocktail cart with record player and vinyl await. Our hand-finished counter with sitting-high barstools means hungry friends can watch willing chefs and bartenders whip up tempting treats.
Our curated art: custom and vintage art, local, original photography and just simple fun items designed to make you smile are placed throughout! You'll see everything from Danish cabaret posters to a vintage solid state portable TV, and some fun things like an Etch-a-Sketch, plenty of games and a plethora of pillow and blankets for style and coziness.
The Getaway is the perfect, well, getaway! Two bedrooms plus den/office with chaise lounge, bathroom with jetted deep tub, sustainable bamboo flooring and hand-finished wood elements throughout. Heat/air plus fully stocked kitchen, BBQ, firepit and more.
Our personally-designed front and back garden was created to be in harmony with this coastal region. Sit, sip a beverage and take in the native and drought resistant succulents, tea tree, lavender, rosemary and more. A backyard firepit and Adirondack chairs makes for cozy evening fun.

A Cottage Full of Sunshine
Our happy-go-lucky A Street Cottage is a close-by neighbor of the Getaway.
Full of bright, colorful accents and local art, A Street Cottage comfortably sleeping four to five guests.
A Street also offers two bed rooms, an office/den and a bathroom with deep jetted tub, outdoor firepit, an old-fashioned wood-burning fireplace and a walking garden of indigenous and conservation-focused plants.
Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a vibe that's both modern and cozy, with vintage mid-century pieces paired with colorful original photo art, and eclectic decor and original, restored 1950's hardwood floors. A wood-burning fireplace, plenty of throw pillows and fleecy blankets make for a cozy retreat.
Daytime or evening, a fenced yard with a firepit and enough chairs for everyone to enjoy a crackling fire, hot or cold 'sip-able' beverage and a grill for cooking something memorable.
This 1950's classic is a fully-restored, proud member of Crescent City's historic Berryessa neighborhood. Lots of light, small but comfy, there's plenty of room for a family or friend group of 4-5 people.
If you're in the mood for a view, stroll five-ten minutes down to the waterfront and head south. You'll see beach access walkways, parks plus this stunning view of our Battery Point Lighthouse.

Coming soon - the lil’ kid sibling of The Getaway
The Hideaway is a tucked-away 500 sq. foot studio apartment and is the perfect companion place if you have friends, extended family, or just want a quiet little “Hideaway” to call your own. Self-contained with its own hummingbird and bee-friendly garden, the Hideaway is a Crescent City vacation rental that, once available, will offer a full bed in a curved-entrance sleeping alcove with full closet, a living room with electric fireplace for extra coziness, dining room, “galley kitchen” with mini stove, sink and refrigerator, stacked washer/dryer and a retro bathroom highlighted with black and white tile and original 1950’s pink bathtub, sink and toilet.
We plan to make this available as a companion rental to the Getaway so that families and small groups of friends can enjoy a “compound” Northern California Redwoods vacation with privacy and comfort.
